De-Registration Process

If you need to de-register your boat from another registry, simply email us a scanned copy of your current registration (e.g., Dutch ICP). The original will need to be mailed to an address we provide.

What If My Boat Was Built Before June 16, 1998?

If your boat was built before June 16, 1998, it does not require a CE certificate or CE plate for registration under Boat register Poland.

Registration for Private or Commercial Use

You can register your boat for private use or commercial bareboat charter under the Polish flag. The registration cost remains the same for both categories.

Do I Need to Display My Boat Registration Number?

Yes, boats registered under Boat register Poland must display:

  • The boat name at the front, both sides, and the back of the vessel.
  • The home port name and registration number under the boat name at the back of the vessel.
  • No restrictions on letter size.
MMSI & Radio License for Polish Boats

Most countries require a valid MMSI/radio license for boats. Under Boat register Poland, you can register the following equipment:

  • VHF Radio
  • Radar
  • EPIRB
  • Transponder

Portable VHF radios cannot be registered in Poland, as Polish authorities do not require MMSI licenses for portable devices.

To obtain a Polish MMSI radio license, you will need:

  1. 1. A copy of your radio operator’s certificate (must be issued by a governmental body; other certificates are not accepted).
  2. 2. A list of devices (brand and model).
  3. 3. A CE declaration of conformity for each device (we can assist you).
  4. 4. A copy of your Polish registration.

Can I Make Changes After Registration?

Yes! If you need to add new equipment, change your address, or rename your boat, the same registration process applies. Processing time and cost remain the same.

  • Boats from 7.5m to 12m – Sailing license required
  • Boats from 12m to 18m – Yacht skipper license required
  • Boats over 18m – Captain’s license required
